Class Talk and Chain Rule... 11/1/16

THANKS again for today, everyone. I really appreciated your focus and sincerity during our talk today. I hope what we talked about in terms of my expectations of you makes sense- these really spring from my desire to view you and treat you as a mature group of seniors that you are. For those of you who weren't in class, we talked about...

  • Being in clear and prompt communication with me when you are absent.
    • If you missed an assessment, please email me with the date and block you would like to make it up.
    • If you missed a day of instruction, please access the notes from our blog page.
    • Please email me with a proper format (Hi Mr. Yoon, blah blah blah..., Your name)
  • Seats- I want you to feel comfortable with the people around you and I don't want to give you a seating chart... You're seniors after all! Please use discretion when talking to your peers so you are not distracted too often.
  • Phone usage: Again, I don't mind phone usage, as long as you are able to stay focused. I trust that you know how to monitor yourself and participate with us.
  • Homework is graded on completion, but please try your best to complete and match right answers.
  • Assessment Retake: we will subscribe to the math department's policy of one assessment retake per quarter.
We did do some math today too! We went over Chain Rule, which is used for composite functions These are functions that look like f(g(x)), one function inside another. Here is the completed notes, and here are the homework problems.

Let me know if you want to come by for extra help or make assessments up!

Thanks again,
Mr. Yoon
